I am based in Georgia and have had nothing but great experiences with this company. Delivery and installation went off perfectly with no issues. I have had two minor problems with my door at no fault of the company and each time I reached out for help they responded promptly and were amazing. Recently our battery pack had a wiring issue and they have offered to send us a new wiring pack at no charge even with us being well out of warranty by now. An amazing company all the way around. I literally have worked with hundreds of contractors on the business side as a GC and almost as many on the personal side with as many home remodels we have done.  CHE team is the top of the list for creative thinking, critical thinking, innovating, problem solving and quality installation.  The project we dreamed of was enormous and something that has never been done before.  They accepted this challenge and executed to make our home addition very unique and special.  Since it was a 'never done before project' we encountered some unforeseen issues.  CHE team did not blink an eye to help problem solve and come up with solutions to resolve.  Their craftsmanship is second to none.  All of their team members take pride in their work and treat the project like it is their own.  Quality is NEVER sacrificed.  Needless to say, I am thoroughly impressed with everyone I have worked with at CHE.  I am a HUGE fan of Creative Home Engineering.  We are very grateful for everything that they have done for us. Although the linen cabinet hidden door I purchased looks good and functions well (at least so far), it is not built to last. The cabinet contains a substantial amount of particle board with a glue on veneer. That is not what I was expecting given their premium pricing. So this review is a heads up to anyone considering a purchase from the Hidden Door Store. Be aware that your delivered product may contain a significant amount of particle board just like cheaper products from big box retailers or Amazon. This is an update to my review. The Hidden Door Store responded very quickly to my concerns.  They pointed out their website does in fact indicate they use engineered board with laminate and stated that in their experience that material performs better than actual hardwoods. As I said, I was able to install it fairly easily and so far, it looks good and operates flawlessly.  Time will tell about the durability of their engineered wood product. After my initial concerns with Hidden Door Store, I was contacted directly by the president of the company on a Friday evening. He took the time out of his personal schedule to call me, listen to my concerns, and make every issue right without hesitation. That level of customer service is rare today and speaks volumes about the company’s commitment to their customers and reputation. While the experience started off frustrating, the way they handled the situation completely changed my perspective. 10/10 recommendation for customer service. Mistakes can happen with any company — what matters is how they respond, and Hidden Door Store absolutely stepped up and delivered. I truly appreciate the professionalism and effort shown to make things right. Extremely disappointed with this company and the way they handle customers after the sale. I purchased their DIY hidden mirror door kit specifically because the marketing video clearly demonstrated a locking mechanism integrated into the exact setup being shown. After installation, I discovered the lock system was NOT included, despite the video heavily implying otherwise. Instead of acknowledging the confusion their own marketing created, customer service shifted blame back onto me and hid behind a checkout selection box. To make matters worse, the hardware provided looked nothing like the clean black hardware shown in their promotional material. The response I received? “The zinc coating is great for accepting paint.” That is unbelievably unprofessional. It is not the customer’s job to repaint mismatched hardware just to make the product look remotely like what was advertised. At this point the door was already fully installed into a customer project, otherwise I would have completely disassembled and returned it. A quality company stands behind their product presentation and works toward a solution when a customer raises a legitimate concern. Instead, I was met with excuses, deflection, and zero accountability. The entire experience felt like once they had the sale, customer satisfaction no longer mattered. As someone who has used competing products in the past, this experience ensured I will be taking future business elsewhere. Okay, this is an easy 5-Star review to leave based on our hidden door purchase for our Texas home.   The quality of the hidden door/mirror along with the before and after service were both excellent.  I had a couple of issues with the door install (due to my contractors) but Jeff at the Hidden Door Store jumped in and resolved the problems immediately. I was kind of hesitant spending as much money as I did, but remember the saying…you get what you pay for, well needless to say it was worth every dollar and the wait for door to be shipped was also worth the wait. Quality is Excellent,  precision, no shoddy workmanship and looks great. I had a minor problem with a magnetic reed switch that could be replaced easily by unplugging and plugging in the new one. Jeff was great and after calling him I had the replacement switching my possession in 3 days…Thanks again Jeff. I can’t speak Highly enough about Jeff and his Company the Hidden Door Store. I absolutely LOVE my hidden door book case.  I have always wanted a secret room and now that I have my first house I already have one.  I assumed it would be harder to install but it didn't take more than a few hours.  Make sure the watch the video all the way through before you do the work just to get a really good idea of what you have to do, then the install goes smooth.  This was a great purchase and is the highlight of my new place.  Eventually, I hope to drill a small hole to feed a wire through that attaches to a book on one end, and a latch on the other. Service is awesome as well. Just this week we had an issue where the installers lost a couple of the key components for remote operation of one of our doors. What a GREAT company.  First, their products are SECRET DOORS!!! How cool is that!?  Everyone should own one - they are fun, provide a degree of safety, make the home unique, add value to the home, the kids love it, etc.  Personally, I would absolutely love to work for this company.  Such a neat concept.  SECOND... their customer service is without question top notch.  I bought a door in 2019.  Almost FOUR years later, I had an electronic component fail.  Not only did they cover it under warranty when it was WAY out of warranty (without me asking BTW), they also covered the shipping costs and provided excellent support communication to diagnosis and repair the part.
